of protecting yourself and loved ones with a self-defense style
that has been proven to dominate any defensive strategy in
confrontation with it. Our style is called CHANG-MOO-KWAN
TAEKWONDO, and was one of the five original Taekwondo
systems developed after the Japanese occupation of Korea was
crushed and Korea was liberated. Grandmaster YOON BYUNG
IN was the man who developed our traditional style. The second
Grandmaster of CHANG-MOO-KWAN is NAM-SUK-LEE ( Is now
desceased), and our President is KIM-SUN-KOO He is now the first in command, with direction over one million plus students and instructors
in our style.
Chung’s Taekwondo Studio’s are black belt martial art’s academies. Our goal for every student is not only to earn their black belts, but grow in the most important area, which is character – not only in the art, but in life. By working towards these goals, we create an environment in which the student develops confidence through accomplishing high, but realistic and attainable goals. We are members of the KOREAN TAEKWONDO ASSOCIATION and all students will reach their level of competency before graduating to the next level.

Self-defense – You will learn effective and powerful self- defense skills as well as the fundamental attitudes appropriate to those skills. The basic attitudes of a successful martial artist (And a successful person) are respect, discipline, goal setting and effective leadership.

Respect – Through the martial arts philosophy and customs, the student learns to build superior relationships based on respect and friendship.

Discipline – Through martial arts training, the student develops self-motivation and stick-to-it-tiveness (Perseverance).

Goal setting – Goal setting is a necessary road map for a successful life. It was once said that, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” On the road toward a black belt the student gains the experience and a feeling of success by earning higher belt ranks.

Leadership – As you work with your fellow students you will develop communication skills. At the level of Red Belt you will be able to participate in our leadership and advanced program.
